BASE 25 IN A NUTSHELL
In the mid 80’s the Robertson Bell report highlighted that Wolverhampton’s youth
would benefit from a facility in it’s town centre whereby services were brought
together under one roof. In 1999 the reality was realised with the opening of Base
25 the Old Print House situated in Wheelers Fold was the tucked away location chosen
to offer young people a welcoming and supportive environment to access information
and support.
OUR WORKERS
Trained volunteers from a diverse range of backgrounds, professional youth workers,
counsellors, career advisors, health care professionals, students studying for professional
qualifications such as social work, counselling and youth work are all involved
in the staffing of Base 25.
THE FUTURE
The charity has continued to develop work with young people offering a diverse range
of services and leading the way, offering innovation and creativity whilst working
with young people. For professionals, Base 25 offers expert advise, supervision
and training opportunities around a range of issue based work. Base 25 commits to
endeavour in it’s strive for excellence in the services it offers to support young
people in shaping their lives.
